The 2025 edition of the Future of Energy Conference (FEC), organised by the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) and partners, brought together key stakeholders to deliberate on Africa’s financing needs and strategic pathways for achieving a just energy transition.
Delivering the keynote address, the Guest Speaker underscored the urgency of sincere collaboration among governments, the private sector, and development institutions to accelerate the continent’s transformation.
He stressed that governments must provide clear policy direction, regulatory stability, and predictability, while the private sector should contribute innovation, efficiency, and investment. At the same time, multilateral partners have a responsibility to de-risk projects and expand concessional and blended financing mechanisms.
The speaker challenged governments, businesses, investors, and civil society to move beyond dialogue and take decisive action.
“Together, through collaboration and innovation, we can secure the future of energy that Africa truly deserves. Together, we shall light up Africa,” he declared.
