COMAC Board, Management Hold Strategic Retreat to Chart 2026 Agenda

The Board and Management of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) have held a two-day strategic retreat at the Peninsula Resort in Akosombo, aimed at setting the organisation’s priorities and operational direction for 2026.
The retreat featured a formal Board meeting at which members reviewed key governance issues, approved strategic initiatives, and offered policy guidance to Management on critical industry and institutional matters.
A major highlight was an interactive session jointly led by Board Chairman, Mr. Gabriel Kumi, and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Riverson Oppong. The session provided a platform for open dialogue between the Board and Management on COMAC’s strategic vision and the evolving needs of member companies. Management and staff also shared insights and presented departmental workplans, aligning them with the Board’s expectations for the year ahead.
In addition, the retreat included a staff training programme focused on enhancing professional skills, leadership capacity, and teamwork within the Secretariat. The engagement also fostered team bonding, strengthening collaboration and cohesion across the Chamber.

Closing the retreat, Mr. Kumi commended Board members and staff for their commitment and underscored the need for sustained collective effort to effectively deliver COMAC’s mandate in 2026 and beyond.
