The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Mr John Jinapor, has held talks with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) to explore areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening capacity in Ghana’s energy sector.
ACBF, a specialised agency of the African Union with a membership of more than 40 countries, is one of Africa’s leading institutions dedicated to building institutional, human and policy capacity across the continent.
The discussions focused on opportunities for mutual cooperation, including training and capacity development, policy formulation, improved access to electricity, and support for Africa’s energy transition agenda.
The meeting also highlighted the strategic importance of the African School of Regulation (ASR) as a key platform for enhancing regulatory capacity, promoting evidence-based policymaking, and advancing sustainable development across Africa.
Mr Jinapor expressed optimism about deepening the partnership with ACBF, noting that stronger collaboration would support Ghana’s energy sector priorities and contribute to Africa’s broader development and transformation agenda.
