Bondzie Outlines Reform Agenda at Energy Commission Staff Durbar

The newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission, Ms. Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie, has outlined a vision to reposition and strengthen the Commission as Ghana’s foremost energy regulator.

Addressing management and staff at a durbar on her first day in office, Ms. Bondzie expressed appreciation to past and present Boards, management and staff for their dedication and resilience, which she said have firmly established the Commission as a pioneer in the country’s energy regulatory space.

She stressed the need for a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation and professionalism, underscoring plans to reinforce regulatory discipline, support responsible investment and advance Ghana’s energy transition agenda.

Ms. Bondzie also reaffirmed her commitment to staff development, fairness and merit-based progression, pledging to maintain an open-door leadership approach as the Commission embarks on strategic reforms aimed at enhancing its national impact.“Together, we will reposition the Energy Commission to soar higher in service to Ghana,” she stated.

Staff of the Commission, represented by the Vice Union Chair, welcomed her appointment and expressed confidence in her leadership, assuring her of their full support in executing her mandate.
