Discussions focused on several critical industry concerns, including the establishment of a sustainable price floor to ensure fair competition, strengthening value‑chain integrity, improving zonalization processes, and addressing delays in regulatory communications.
The engagement also covered the review of the UPPF framework, the importance of responsible pricing across the sector, and the need for digital system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Specific attention was given to regulatory processes involving the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) and digital systems operated by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
COMAC emphasized the need to upgrade the GRA portal to reflect current product payment mechanisms and improve declaration accuracy.
Additionally, COMAC encouraged the adoption of Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) systems at retail outlets to support real‑time monitoring and strengthen operational efficiency across the industry.
COMAC looks forward to continuing these visits, as part of its broader mandate to represent the interests of the industry while supporting a stable and well-functioning petroleum market.
