The Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Richard Gyan-Mensah, has urged industry stakeholders to deepen collaboration to accelerate the adoption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) across the country.
He made the call yesterday at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) Head Office in Accra during the maiden National LPG Forum 2025, held under the theme “One Industry, One Vision: A Collaborative Approach to LPG Sector Transformation.” Mr. Gyan-Mensah delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor.
Highlighting the environmental benefits of LPG, he described it as one of the cleanest cooking fuels available and a key component of Ghana’s transition to greener energy solutions. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s target of transitioning at least 50 percent of the population to LPG by 2030 through initiatives such as the Cylinder Recirculation Model and the distribution of LPG cookstoves to first-time users.
The Deputy Minister further noted that the Government of President John Dramani Mahama remains committed to ensuring safe, reliable and efficient access to LPG nationwide
