Energy Chamber Executive Chairman Joshua Narh Wins Global Industry Change Maker Award

The Executive Chairman of the Energy Chamber of Ghana, Joshua Narh, has received the lGlobal Recognition Award 2025 as an Industry Change Maker in Oil, Gas, and Energy at the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF) held in Accra.

The event, which brought together more than 1,000 in-person delegates and attracted over 10 million virtual participants worldwide, celebrated outstanding innovators and leaders shaping global industry landscapes.

In a statement, Mr. Narh described the honour as both humbling and energising, noting that the award affirms his commitment to repositioning Africa’s energy narrative on the global stage.

He reiterated several principles guiding his advocacy, including the need for Africa’s energy future to be defined by those who understand the continent’s unique realities, and the importance of treating hydrocarbons and renewables as complementary drivers of a balanced transition.

Mr. Narh further emphasised the central role of gas in Africa’s industrialisation agenda and called for greater clarity in communicating Africa’s investment potential to attract global capital.

He also highlighted the need to inspire young Africans to view the energy sector as a dynamic, innovative space with vast opportunities, and underscored the importance of Africans leading the storytelling around the continent’s energy ambitions.

Mr. Narh said the recognition strengthens his resolve to continue championing a strategic, truthful, and forward-looking African energy narrative.

He expressed his gratitude to GEF 2025 for the honour, adding that the work to reshape perceptions of Africa’s energy landscape “is only just beginning.
