The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, has called on staff of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to rally behind their Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, describing him as a dynamic and visionary leader driving transformation within Ghana’s petroleum downstream sector.
During a working visit to the Authority on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Minister praised Mr. Tameklo’s leadership for fostering efficiency, transparency, and renewed confidence in the NPA’s operations.
“Your dynamic CEO is bringing about a lot of transformation and transparency; give him the needed support to continue this important work,” Mr. Jinapor stated.
He emphasized that strong leadership at the NPA is crucial to achieving government’s broader energy sector reforms and modernisation agenda.
“Effective and visionary leadership at the NPA is critical if we are to deliver the reforms and modernisation we have set out to achieve,” he added.
The Minister encouraged staff to align with management’s vision and work collaboratively to strengthen the Authority’s regulatory role.
“When leadership and staff move in the same direction, results are inevitable,” he remarked.
Mr. Jinapor reaffirmed government’s commitment to empowering the NPA through capacity building, digital systems improvement, and a supportive policy environment.
“This institution is vital to our national development, and together, we will make it stronger,” he assured.
