MISA Energy Ghana Emerges as Bold New Identity for Former Engen Ghana.

Formerly known as Engen Ghana, the company has officially unveiled its new identity as MISA Energy Ghana Limited, signalling a transformative shift toward becoming a truly African energy brand—rooted in Ghanaian leadership and driven by international best practices.

Unveiling the rebrand at a ceremony in Accra, CEO Brent Nartey emphasized that the new name represents more than just a change in signage.

“MISA Energy is not just a name change—it’s a reflection of who we are becoming: innovative, customer-obsessed, and focused on fuelling dreams with a people-first mindset,” he said.

The event drew key figures from Ghana’s energy space who echoed support for the brand’s evolution and its role in shaping a competitive, future-forward energy sector.

Speaking on behalf of the Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Ing. Sulemana Abubakari, Acting Director of Power, urged MISA Energy to translate its new identity into measurable innovations and service delivery improvements. He further called on industry players to align with Ghana’s green energy transition and build strategic alliances that enhance sector resilience.

Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), threw a challenge to the rebranded entity:

“In today’s competitive landscape, service excellence must be more than a promise it must be consistently delivered by every frontline staff member who represents the MISA brand.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, Dr. Riverson Oppong, CEO of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), lauded the rebranding as a pivotal moment for the company:

“A new identity should reignite purpose, energize teams, and strengthen ties with customers and stakeholders. MISA must lead with relevance, trust, and continuous innovation.”
