The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition convened a performance review meeting for all sector agencies, providing a valuable platform to reflect on past progress, assess current performance and challenges, and propose practical solutions as we look ahead to 2026.

Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company Limited (GCMC) actively participated in the review and highlighted our continued contribution as a major player in the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM). Through this model, GCMC remains committed to ensuring the safety and integrity of LPG cylinders exchanged at bottling plants across the country, an essential pillar in promoting safe and reliable LPG usage.

We also used the opportunity to outline key operational challenges, particularly the urgent need to retool our factory to enhance efficiency and achieve optimal production capacity to meet growing national demand.

I wish to commend the Hon. Minister for Energy and Green Transition for his strong leadership and commitment to the sector. His efforts to ensure that LPG is not only accessible but also affordable are critical to Ghana’s clean cooking agenda and fully aligned with the national vision of achieving 50% LPG penetration by 2030.

GCMC remains resolute in supporting government’s green transition agenda and delivering on our mandate in the interest of safety, sustainability, and national development.
