Ghana Energy Awards Postpones 9th Edition Launch in Honour of Helicopter Crash Victims

The Ghana Energy Awards has indefinitely postponed the media launch of its 9th edition and the official opening of nominations, which were initially scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

In a statement signed by the event’s director, Ing. Henry Teinor, and the chairman of the awards panel, Kwame Jantuah, the organisers said the decision was made in the spirit of national unity and out of deep respect for the lives lost in the tragic helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, while en route to Obuasi in the Ashanti region.
