Ghana generated $370.62 million in petroleum revenues during the first half of 2025, according to the latest Petroleum Semi-Annual Report released by authorities.
The bulk of the earnings $218.62 million came from crude oil liftings conducted between January and March 2025. Additionally, the country received $148.75 million in corporate taxes paid by key industry players including Tullow Oil, Kosmos Energy, ENI Ghana, Vitol, and Petro SA.
Other revenue streams included surface rentals amounting to $863,045, while income from the Petroleum Holding Fund was pegged at $2.38 million.
In terms of investments, the Ghana Petroleum Holding Fund recorded assets valued at $1.42 billion in the reporting period. The Ghana Heritage Fund also saw a significant boost, with earnings of $1.3 billion, while the Ghana Stabilisation Fund posted investment returns totaling $122.9 million.
