Ghana Showcases Petroleum Hub Project to Singapore Investors

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has pitched the country’s ambitious Petroleum Hub project to investors in Singapore, positioning it as a game-changing initiative to anchor Ghana as a key player in Africa’s downstream energy sector.

At the Singapore-Ghana Dialogue, held on the sidelines of the Africa-Singapore Business Forum on Thursday, August 28, 2025, GIPC Chief Executive Officer, Simon Madjie, outlined the project’s potential to transform Ghana’s energy landscape and create an estimated 700,000 jobs.

Mr. Madjie explained that the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), led by Dr. Toni Aubynn, has built an investor-friendly framework to ensure smooth and efficient investment processes.

Dr. Aubynn, who attended the dialogue with a high-level PHDC delegation, used the platform to engage with Singaporean business leaders and prospective investors. He emphasized Ghana’s commitment to welcoming Asian partners to help mobilize capital for the development of the hub.

The event also gave Singaporean executives firsthand insight into Ghana’s broader economic reform agenda, investment priorities, and its strategic positioning as a gateway to Africa.
