GNPC Highlights Measures to Sustain Ghana’s Gas Supply

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has underscored the need for integrated management of the country’s gas resources and infrastructure to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply to the domestic market.

Speaking at PIAC-Ghana’s Technical Consultative Workshop, GNPC Director of Engineering, Simon Essilfie, outlined the technical considerations involved in sustaining Ghana’s gas supply.

Essilfie highlighted the need to carefully manage production from the Jubilee, TEN and Sankofa-Gye Nyame fields while addressing infrastructure constraints and advancing the development of new gas resources and LNG options to meet rising domestic demand.

He said linking upstream reservoir performance, infrastructure readiness and market demand would be critical to strengthening the reliability and sustainability of Ghana’s gas supply.
