The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has reiterated its commitment to advancing local content development and enhancing Africa’s competitiveness in the global energy space at the ongoing 4th APPO Conference and Exhibition on Local Content (CECLA 2025) in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo.
Delivering a speech on behalf of GNPC’s Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the APPO NOCs CEOs Forum, Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, Adviser for General Services, Mrs. Jennifer Boateng, underscored the Corporation’s continued efforts to empower local businesses and drive sustainable growth within Africa’s oil and gas value chain.
Mrs. Boateng also represented GNPC on a high-level panel discussion themed “The NOCs’ Support for Promoting Local Suppliers of Goods and Services for the Oil and Gas Industry,” where she outlined the Corporation’s practical initiatives aimed at building supplier capacity and fostering collaboration across the sector.
Meanwhile, the GNPC exhibition booth attracted significant attention throughout the day as delegates explored the Corporation’s projects focused on local participation, capacity building, and value retention.
The CECLA 2025, organized by the African Petroleum Producers’ Organization (APPO), brings together policymakers, national oil companies, and industry stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening local content and ensuring Africa’s energy resources drive inclusive development.
