GOIL Unveils Smart Energy Innovations in Final Leg of Nationwide Stakeholder Tour

GOIL PLC is charting a bold new course for Ghana’s energy future with a suite of transformative initiatives aimed at redefining fuel retailing and accelerating the country’s transition toward smart, clean energy.

At a high-level stakeholder engagement in Accra the final leg of a nationwide tour with dealers from the South, South-East, and Tema Zones, Group CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Edward Abambire Bawa, announced a series of forward-looking interventions already underway across GOIL’s operations.

Key highlights of the engagement included:

  • Launch of the GOIL Fuel Management System, a cutting-edge platform designed to improve inventory tracking, operational efficiency, and transparency across the supply chain.
  • Upcoming installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging ports at select GOIL service stations to support Ghana’s growing EV market.
  • A strategic partnership with the DVLA to help shape the development of EV infrastructure nationwide.
  • Ongoing renovation of more than 270 GOIL stations, incorporating smart technologies to enhance service delivery and customer experience.
  • An appeal for consistent government support, particularly in the fair and timely allocation of laycans to ensure stable and uninterrupted fuel supply.
