Horgle Transport and Company Limited has been honoured with the Energy Sector Operational Resilience Award at the 9th Ghana Energy Awards, held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The recognition highlights the company’s outstanding performance and long-standing impact on petroleum logistics in Ghana and across West Africa.
With more than 40 years of industry leadership, J.K. Horgle Transport under the stewardship of CEO Joseph Kwaku Horgle has become a key player in the oil and gas value chain. The company’s strong culture of rigorous staff training, continuous monitoring, and performance-driven operations has positioned it as a benchmark for operational excellence in petroleum haulage.
Mr. Horgle has also championed the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles into the company’s operations, reinforcing its commitment to community development, safety, and sustainable business practices.
This year’s awards ceremony, themed “Repositioning the Energy Sector as a Pillar of National Development,” convened top policymakers, regulators, international partners and industry players to celebrate individuals and organisations advancing innovation, resilience, and sustainability within the energy sector.
Ahead of the awards, the Executive Director of the Centre for Environmental Management and Sustainable Energy (CEMSE), Ben Nsiah, endorsed J.K. Horgle Transport Company as a strong contender, describing the firm as “a model of responsibility and reliability” in Ghana’s petroleum transport sector.
The latest recognition adds to Mr. Horgle’s impressive list of accolades. In 2024, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contributions to the development of Ghana’s oil and gas logistics industry.
