New GNPC Foundation Board Inaugurated to Drive Social Impact

Accra, Ghana — The newly constituted Board of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has been inaugurated, with a renewed mandate to advance social impact through education, health, and economic empowerment initiatives in oil-producing communities and beyond.
The GNPC Foundation, established under the vision of President John Dramani Mahama, continues to play a central role in ensuring that petroleum resources directly benefit Ghanaians. At the inauguration, the Board was tasked to uphold transparency, inclusivity, and excellence in the execution of its programs
The new Board is chaired by Prof. Albert Kwaku Akpalu, with Madam Helga J. M. Boadi, CEO of the GNPC Foundation, and Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, CEO of GNPC, also serving as members. Other members include Madam Naa Ayorkor Gyaama Coto-Brown, Prof. Patience Aseweh Abor, Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, and Hon. Alhassan Umar.
In congratulating the members, the leadership expressed confidence in their ability to deepen the Foundation’s impact in transforming lives and communities across the country.
The GNPC Foundation has, over the years, spearheaded projects in scholarship provision, health infrastructure, skills training, and economic development, reinforcing its role as a driver of inclusive growth and national development.
