It was a moment heavy with grief and gratitude as the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) gathered at the Jubilee House’s Ceremonial Garden on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, to remember eight public servants who perished in the recent helicopter crash.
Acting CEO Dr. Toni Aubynn, alongside Deputy CEO of Finance and Administration Halimatu Sadia Abdulai Abu and other executives, laid wreaths in a quiet tribute to what they called the “fallen heroes.”
Speaking with emotion, Dr. Aubynn offered the PHDC’s deepest condolences to the grieving families, praying for strength and peace during what he described as an “unbearable season of loss.” He also extended heartfelt sympathy to former President John Dramani Mahama, noting the profound void left by the loss of his trusted team members.
For a brief moment, the bustling heart of government stood still not for politics or policy, but for the lives dedicated to public service and cut short too soon.
