The Group CEO & MD of GOIL PLC, Mr. Edward Abambire Bawa, has paid a courtesy call on the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, to strengthen the long-standing partnership between GOIL and the Ghana Police Service.
The engagement focused on sustaining reliable fuel supply to support police operations nationwide, addressing implementation challenges, and exploring opportunities to deepen collaboration, including support for newly created regions and marine security operations.
The GOIL delegation included the Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Marcus Deo Dake; Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Robert Kyere; Head of Operations, Ing. Denis Nii-Komiete Amui, and other senior officials.
The IGP was joined by members of the Police Management Board, including COP Dr. Ernest Kwabena Owusu (Director-General, General Services), COP Mohammed Fuseini Suraji (Director-General, National Patrol Department), COP Dr. Sayibu Pabi Gariba (Director-General, Technical), COP Michael Nketia Frempong (Director-General, Finance), and COP Iddi Seidu Lansah (Director-General, Welfare), among others.
The IGP welcomed the GOIL delegation and proposed closer collaboration to improve fuel supply, including the construction of storage facilities in hard-to-reach and newly created regions. He expressed appreciation to GOIL for its continued support.
Mr. Bawa reaffirmed GOIL’s commitment to working closely with the Police Service and relevant regulatory agencies to ensure efficient and seamless fuel supply in support of national security.
The visit highlighted GOIL’s role as a state-owned strategic energy partner, and the collective commitment of both institutions to deepening collaboration in the interest of public safety, security, and national development.
