TDC Ghana Ltd. has expressed strong interest in becoming a key partner in the development of the Petroleum Hub project in Jomoro, with a particular focus on contributing to the construction of residential settlements within the hub enclave.
As part of the hub’s broader development and operationalisation, the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) is mandated to facilitate the provision of affordable, modern housing units in the surrounding area. To this end, TDC has taken proactive steps to collaborate with the PHDC in realising this objective.
On Friday, 6 February 2026, a two-member delegation from TDC engaged in constructive discussions with Dr Toni Aubynn, Chief Executive Officer of the PHDC, to formally convey their interest and explore potential avenues for collaboration in delivering affordable housing units at the hub.
During the meeting, Kwamena Banahene Amoah, General Manager of Operations, and Justice Grant, Head of Sales and Marketing, pitched their outfits as a potentially dependable partner for the PHDC in the construction of affordable housing units at the hub.
Mr Kwamena Banahene Amoah noted that TDC has closely followed the project’s progress and is confident that a strategic partnership with the PHDC would foster a mutually advantageous relationship for both organisations.
Dr Toni Aubynn warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the Petroleum Hub concept, clarifying that housing construction forms part of the project’s ancillary infrastructure components.
He further indicated that, consistent with its sustainability principles, the PHDC is committed to promoting the development of modern, eco-friendly housing units and remains eager to partner with TDC to achieve this goal.
Dr Aubynn described TDC’s initiative as encouraging news and a significant advancement in the PHDC’s ongoing efforts to engage Ghanaian companies and investors in the development of the Petroleum Hub.
He seized the opportunity to urge other Ghanaian investors and enterprises to participate in the project, emphasising that it is not only ambitious in scope but also offers substantial value and returns to stakeholders.
Other elements of the project’s ancillary infrastructure include transportation networks, utility services, social amenities, and additional supporting facilities.
