The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Jinapor, has undertaken a working visit to the Ghana Standards Authority Energy Meter Testing Laboratory as part of efforts to strengthen quality assurance in the country’s power sector.
He was accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission of Ghana, Ms. Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie, and officials from the Ministry.
During the visit, the Minister and his delegation observed firsthand the rigorous testing procedures conducted at the laboratory to ensure the accuracy, safety and reliability of energy meters deployed nationwide.
Dr. Jinapor commended the technical team for their high level of precision, professionalism and dedication, describing their work as both impressive and reassuring.
He emphasized that quality standards go beyond technical compliance, noting that they form the backbone of trust and fairness between consumers and utility providers.
The Minister further underscored the importance of strong institutional collaboration in safeguarding consumer interests and strengthening public confidence in Ghana’s energy systems.
