Industry Players Join NPA to Mark 20 Years of Petroleum Sector Regulation

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) marked its 20th anniversary with a grand gala night at the Alisa Hotel in Accra, bringing together management, staff, retirees and industry partners to celebrate two decades of regulatory service and institutional growth.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the Authority’s achievements over the past 20 years, while also looking ahead to future prospects for continued improvement and expansion within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.

The evening was enlivened by live musical performances from Wendy Shay and OliveTheBoy, which drew enthusiastic participation from guests, including NPA Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Dramani Bukari, as well as directors and heads of department.

Retired staff and key industry stakeholders were in attendance, adding to the significance of the celebration. The programme was expertly hosted by a trio of master of ceremonies—Giovani, Naa Atswei and Maureen—whose engaging delivery added colour and excitement to the night.

As part of the celebrations, long-serving members of staff were recognised for their dedication and contribution to the Authority. The gala night also doubled as the NPA’s end-of-year staff party, rounding off the anniversary celebrations on a festive note.
