NPA Hosts Kenyan Energy Regulatory Delegation for Downstream Petroleum Study Tour

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has hosted a high-level delegation from Kenya’s Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) on a study tour of Ghana’s downstream petroleum regulatory framework.

The visit forms part of efforts by the Kenyan delegation to gain insights into the NPA’s regulatory regime and best practices in the downstream petroleum industry.

The delegation was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the NPA, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, Esq., together with the Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Sheila Addo, and members of the Authority’s Executive Committee.

During the engagement, the NPA team, led by the Head of Policy at the Policy Coordination Directorate, Mr. Rasheed Dauda, delivered presentations on Ghana’s regulatory experience, policy framework and best practices in overseeing the downstream petroleum sector.

The visit underscored the commitment of both Ghana and Kenya to strengthening collaboration, promoting knowledge exchange and advancing regulatory excellence in Africa’s energy sector.
