The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor (MP), has inaugurated the new board of directors for GNPC Exploration and Production Company Limited (Explorco).
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister underscored the strategic role of Explorco in Ghana’s upstream petroleum sector. He tasked the new board to step up exploration activities with the aim of boosting the country’s oil reserves and strengthening national energy security.
“The goal is to ensure a sustainable increase in reserves that will drive revenue generation and enhance Ghana’s competitiveness in the global oil and gas market,” Hon. Jinapor noted.
The newly inaugurated board members are:
- Dr. Aaron Issa Anafure
- Samuel Opoku Arthur (Ag. Managing Director)
- Stella Bondzie
- Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah
- Hon. Benjamin Narteh Ayiku
