Ghana Woos Energy Investors at African Energy Week

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has held a series of bilateral meetings with key industry players and prospective investors to explore investment opportunities in Ghana’s energy sector on the sidelines of African Energy Week.

The engagements brought together companies with established operations in Ghana and potential investors seeking to enter the country’s energy market.

According to the Minister, the companies commended Ghana’s economic performance over the past year and acknowledged the government’s efforts to reposition the energy sector as an attractive destination for investment.

The discussions also reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening its reputation as a business-friendly destination for local and international energy investors.

Dr Jinapor said the government remained committed to building a credible, competitive and investor-friendly energy sector anchored on certainty, predictability and transparency.

He noted that these principles were essential to boosting investor confidence, fostering long-term partnerships and creating an enabling environment for sustainable investment and growth.

The meetings form part of Ghana’s broader efforts to attract investment into the energy sector, strengthen industry partnerships and unlock opportunities across the country’s energy value chain.
