Tema Oil Refinery Holds Final Staff Durbar for 2025

Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has held its fifth and final staff durbar for the year, marking another milestone in its ongoing efforts to revive operations.


The durbar took place on Friday, December 12, 2025, under the auspices of the Managing Director, Edmond Kombat Esq. In line with TOR’s commitment to good governance and transparency, the Managing Director briefed staff on progress made so far towards the refinery’s vision of restarting operations.


Addressing staff, Mr. Kombat outlined the state of the refinery at the time it was handed over to the new administration in January 2025 and highlighted the significant work undertaken since then to drive the revival process. He commended staff for their resilience and dedication, noting that their collective efforts remain central to TOR’s turnaround agenda.
The engagement was marked by an upbeat atmosphere, with staff applauding the Managing Director and his Deputy for their sacrifice, commitment, and leadership. The durbar was highly interactive, featuring thoughtful contributions, suggestions, and goodwill messages from both management and staff.


As part of the occasion, the Managing Director extended warm Christmas wishes to all employees, expressing appreciation for their hard work throughout the year and urging them to enjoy the festive season responsibly.
