The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) has continued its membership engagement initiative with a working visit to Desert Oil Limited at the company’s office in Achimota, Accra.
The engagement brought together a COMAC delegation comprising Mohammed (Mo) Issah, Susana Eyiah, Akua Boateng and Golda Anyama Frimpong-Tenkorang, alongside the management team of Desert Oil Limited, led by General Manager Richard Danso Abbeam.
Discussions focused on key developments affecting Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry, including petroleum pricing, business sustainability, regulatory coordination and industry compliance.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of sustained stakeholder collaboration in promoting a conducive operating environment for oil marketing companies and other industry players.
During the engagement, COMAC provided updates on its strategic objectives and progress on key industry interventions. The session also offered an opportunity for Desert Oil Limited to provide feedback and contribute to discussions on issues affecting the sector.
COMAC said effective industry advocacy must be informed by the practical experiences and perspectives of its members.
The Chamber added that such engagements form part of its efforts to strengthen institutional relationships, improve information sharing and advance the collective interests of stakeholders within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
The visit forms part of COMAC’s broader membership engagement efforts aimed at deepening dialogue and collaboration across the industry.
