The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) for its strong financial and operational performance in 2025, urging the company to sustain its focus on reliability, infrastructure expansion and long-term growth.
Dr Jinapor made the remarks when he addressed the 8th Annual General Meeting of Ghana Gas, where the company’s 2025 Annual Report and Financial Statements were considered.
Ghana Gas recorded significant growth in gas processing and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production during the year, while net profit surged by an impressive 97 percent.
The Minister said the performance underscored Ghana Gas’ strategic importance to the country’s energy security and its contribution to the government’s Gas-to-Power agenda.
He commended the management and staff of Ghana Gas for the progress made, while urging the company to build on the gains by improving operational reliability, expanding critical infrastructure and investing in sustainable growth.
According to Dr Jinapor, these measures are essential to positioning Ghana Gas to meet the country’s rising energy needs and support broader economic development.
He assured the company of the Ministry’s continued collaboration and support, stressing that Ghana Gas has a critical role to play in driving industrialisation, promoting economic growth and building a resilient energy future for Ghanaians.
