Jinapor Commissions New PURC Head Office

Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has commissioned the new Head Office Complex of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.

The new facility is expected to strengthen PURC’s capacity to effectively regulate public utilities, protect consumers and contribute to improved service delivery.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr Jinapor commended the Board, Management and staff of PURC for completing the project, describing it as an important milestone for the Commission.

He said government remained committed to supporting PURC in its efforts to strengthen accountability, improve the performance of utility providers and safeguard the public interest.

Dr Jinapor, however, stressed that the ultimate measure of the new facility would be the quality of services delivered to Ghanaian consumers.

He congratulated PURC on the completion of the new head office and urged the Commission to remain focused on its mandate of ensuring efficient, reliable and consumer-oriented utility services.
