The 9th Ghana Energy Awards (GEA) has officially opened nominations, unveiling this year’s theme:
“Repositioning the Energy Sector as a Pillar of National Development.”
Organisers say the theme is a call to action for stakeholders to harness Ghana’s energy potential as a driver of industrialisation, while addressing persistent challenges through innovation, reform, and collaboration.
Entries are open across 32 award categories, spanning both competitive and honorary honours, covering the period 2024–2025. Submissions outside this timeframe will not be considered.

- Energy Personality of the Year
The flagship award, recognising outstanding individuals (male and female) for leadership, innovation, and lasting contributions to Ghana’s energy development. - CEO of the Year (Power & Petroleum)
Celebrating exceptional organisational leaders whose vision and management have delivered growth and operational excellence. - Visionary Leadership Award
