Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has underscored the importance of stronger collaboration between the energy and transport sectors to accelerate national development and support government’s 24-hour economy initiative.
This follows a courtesy visit by the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, to her office at the Ministry of Transport. The two ministers discussed strategies to align their respective sectors to enhance productivity, efficiency, and service delivery for Ghanaians.
Hon. Affo-Toffey also took the opportunity to raise concerns about the expansion of electricity access in Jomoro, one of the fastest-growing constituencies in Ghana. She emphasized that equitable access to reliable power remains essential to the area’s economic and social progress.
“It is vital that every community, no matter how remote or underserved, benefits from reliable electricity supply,” she noted. “We remain firmly committed to extending power to every corner of Jomoro so that no community is left behind in our drive toward a brighter, better Ghana.”
