Ghana, ISA Strengthen Collaboration to Accelerate Renewable Energy Transition

Ghana’s Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, has held bilateral talks with Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director-General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), on the sidelines of the 8th Session of the ISA Assembly in New Delhi, India.

The meeting centered on advancing partnerships between Ghana and the ISA to scale up renewable energy deployment and enhance efficiency across the energy value chain, particularly within the distribution sector.

Discussions also explored avenues to deepen technical cooperation and develop sustainable financing mechanisms to accelerate Ghana’s transition toward clean, reliable, and affordable energy.

Mr. Khanna reaffirmed ISA’s commitment to supporting Ghana through technical expertise, capacity building, and financial assistance — underscoring the shared vision of expanding access to solar solutions across the country.

Minister Jinapor emphasized that the partnership reflects Ghana’s dedication to building a resilient, efficient, and inclusive energy ecosystem that harnesses the power of the sun to drive sustainable growth and development.
