Power has been fully restored to the national grid following a major system disruption, with all generation units now back in service.

Engineers, technicians, and emergency response teams worked tirelessly around the clock to stabilise the system and restore electricity supply across affected areas. Their swift and coordinated efforts ensured the grid returned to stable operation despite the scale of the challenge.

The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, commended the dedication and professionalism of personnel involved in the restoration process.

He expressed appreciation to the leadership and staff of Ghana Grid Company Limited, Volta River Authority, and Electricity Company of Ghana, as well as other supporting agencies, for their effective collaboration.

According to the Minister, the successful restoration highlights the resilience and technical capacity of Ghana’s energy sector, even under significant pressure.
