The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Jinapor, on Monday night paid a second visit to the Akosombo Substation to personally inspect ongoing restoration works following the recent fire outbreak that damaged the control room and caused the loss of more than 1,000 megawatts of power to the national grid.
During the visit, the Minister engaged engineers and technical personnel who have been working tirelessly around the clock under demanding conditions to restore operations.
Dr Jinapor praised the dedication, courage and professionalism of the teams, describing their commitment in the face of adversity as commendable.
He expressed appreciation to the workers for their resilience and sacrifice, noting that their efforts continue to reflect the highest standards of national service.
The Minister also assured the engineers of the Government’s full support as restoration works continue.
He further reassured the public that every effort is being made to restore stable electricity supply to affected areas as quickly as possible.
