The Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), Dr Toni Aubynn, has paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director of OmniBSIC Bank, Mr Daniel Asiedu, as part of efforts to explore strategic partnerships to advance the Petroleum Hub project.
The meeting, held on Monday, focused on potential areas of collaboration between PHDC and the bank, particularly in mobilising financing and private-sector investment to support the development of the ambitious petroleum and energy infrastructure project.
Mr Asiedu expressed OmniBSIC Bank’s strong interest in the Petroleum Hub initiative, describing it as a viable platform for industrialisation, economic growth and job creation.
He said the bank recognised the project’s potential to transform Ghana’s petroleum industry and create significant opportunities for businesses and investors.
Dr Aubynn, for his part, said the Petroleum Hub presented a strategic opportunity for local investors and financial institutions to channel resources into a project with strong economic prospects and the potential to generate sustainable returns.
He stressed the importance of collaboration between government institutions, financial institutions and the private sector in unlocking the full potential of the Petroleum Hub.
The engagement forms part of PHDC’s broader stakeholder consultations aimed at building strategic partnerships and mobilising the financial and technical resources required to accelerate the project’s implementation.
