NPA Boss Tameklo Reaffirms Commitment to Consumer Protection at 2026 World Consumer Rights Day

The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., has reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to consumer protection at the 2026 World Consumer Rights Day celebration held on 19th March 2026 at the NPA Conference Room.

The event, under the theme “Safe Products, Confident Consumers in Ghana’s Downstream Petroleum Sector,” brought together key stakeholders to discuss product quality, pricing transparency, and consumer welfare. Deputy Chief Executive,Dr. Sheila Addo highlighted the need for collaboration, while the Chief Executive outlined reforms, including the establishment of a Consumer Services Directorate and a modern call centre.

Presentations and panel discussions provided practical insights on safeguarding fuel quality and ensuring fair pricing, as the NPA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening consumer confidence through collaboration with partners such as CUTS International.
