The Government of Ghana has introduced a series of temporary measures aimed at mitigating the impact of rising petroleum prices on the domestic market.

In a statement released by Presidency Communications on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the government announced it would absorb a portion of the costs for both diesel and petrol to provide relief to citizens and businesses. Attached is a copy of the release by the energy ministry.
