The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas), Ms. Judith Adjobah Blay, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, to discuss ways of strengthening collaboration between the two institutions.
The visit follows an earlier engagement between the two organisations in August 2025, during which both parties explored opportunities for cooperation aimed at driving growth and efficiency within Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
Discussions during Tuesday’s meeting focused on promoting the smooth operation of Ghana Gas and enhancing strategic partnerships between the two entities to support the development of the energy sector.
Speaking during the meeting, Ms. Blay underscored the importance of regular engagements between the institutions, describing them as critical to maintaining alignment on key industry issues and improving service delivery to stakeholders.
She noted that the follow-up meeting provided an opportunity to revisit discussions from the previous engagement and address technical matters of mutual interest.
“Following the meeting we had in August last year, we agreed to meet again and discuss a few more technical issues that have a bearing on the work of both NPA and Ghana Gas,” she said.
Ms. Blay added that as institutions serving businesses across the petroleum value chain, continuous dialogue was necessary to ensure both organisations remained coordinated in their efforts to support industry players.
In response, Mr. Tameklo expressed appreciation to the Ghana Gas team for the visit and reaffirmed the NPA’s commitment to supporting the operations of the state-owned gas company.
He assured Ghana Gas of the Authority’s readiness to intensify operational efforts where necessary to facilitate efficient business operations and strengthen collaboration between the two institutions.
“We will intensify our operational efforts in areas where we need to, to make your work less difficult and ensure that your operations move on smoothly,” Mr. Tameklo stated.
He further expressed confidence that the decisions reached during the meeting would deliver mutual benefits and contribute positively to the growth of Ghana’s petroleum sector.
The engagement reaffirmed the strong partnership between the National Petroleum Authority and Ghana Gas, highlighting their shared commitment to collaboration, operational excellence, and the sustainable development of Ghana’s energy industry.
