CEMSE Petitions Authorities Over Alleged Fuel Data Manipulation and Smuggling by Life Energy

The Center for Environmental Management and Sustainable Energy (CEMSE) has petitioned the relevant state authorities to conduct an urgent forensic investigation into alleged fuel data manipulation, possible smuggling, and suspected economic sabotage involving Life Energy, an Oil Marketing Company, and four of its retail outlets located at Sefwi Osei Kojokrom, Sefwi Debiso, Sefwi Yawmatwa, and Dormaa Ahenkro.

In the petition, CEMSE claims that a preliminary review of loading and sales records for August 2025 shows that Life Energy lifted 5.537 million litres of petroleum products from Rock Africa Limited and reported that each of the four outlets sold an average of 1.384 million litres during the same month. The group argues that the reported volumes are unrealistic and commercially implausible, considering the rural and semi-urban nature of the locations, the storage capacities of the stations, and historical sales trends within those markets.

CEMSE is therefore calling for a full audit of sales receipts, delivery records, loading manifests, truck tracking logs, and on-site inspections to determine whether the reported figures reflect genuine sales activity or point to possible diversion of fuel products and fraudulent claims under the Uniform Petroleum Price Fund (UPPF).
